Nightlife in Ibiza.

Ibiza’s big rooms are spread across the island. Hï Ibiza and Ushuaïa stand on Platja d’en Bossa, Amnesia and UNVRS at Sant Rafel, and Pacha in Ibiza Town, while Sant Antoni has the West End streets. Each town hall sets its own hours: discotecas close at 6:00 a.m. in Sant Antoni and Santa Eulària, and at 5:00 in Sant Antoni’s Zone 1 from 1 May to 31 October. Music outdoors is banned from midnight to 1 p.m. in Sant Antoni. Opening parties usually come in late April and closing parties in early to mid October, so the work is a short, loud season, with about 164,000 residents the rest of the year.

Ibiza bar rules: closing time, licences and noise.

On Ibiza each town hall sets its own opening hours under Balearic law, and the Balearic government sets the island-wide limits on excess tourism. Liquor licences come from the Govern de les Illes Balears.

The night, by the clock6 p.m. to 8 a.m.

These are Sant Antoni’s hours, and Santa Eulària’s match them for discotecas. Ibiza Town and Sant Josep (Platja d’en Bossa) set their own, so read their current ordinances. Every room must be empty within 30 minutes of closing.

Prices, VAT and the bill in Ibiza.

How a table’s bill adds up once tax and a service charge are on it, and what guests pay at the door.

A table on a Saturday: how the bill adds up
Minimum spend€1,000.00
Service charge 10%, added by the venue€100.00

  • Entry to a discoteca is a separate service from the drinks. A summary of a tax ruling puts it at the general 21% unless live cultural shows are offered, which would bring 10%. Confirm with the Agencia Tributaria before pricing covers.
