Libro is a reservation book for restaurants, based in Montreal and part of OpenTable since April 2026. Bookings from your website, Google, Facebook and Instagram land on a floor plan, a card can be held for a no-show fee, and waitlists, two-way texts, reviews, email and paid ticket offers sit beside them, in French and English. It is a strong fit for Quebec restaurants and lounges that want a local reservation book.

VenueStack is built for clubs where the table is sold before the night starts. VIP tables carry deposits and minimum spends on your floor plan, tickets and guest lists run beside them, and the door scans and counts in the same dashboard. Every ticket, booking and check-in builds one customer list. New staff learn each job inside the dashboard, with guides that play on the page they are using. One plan covers all of it, billed in US dollars.

  • Tickets, guest lists and the door run on the same nights as your tables
  • You want every feature on one plan, billed in US dollars, with a free trial before you pay

Rehearse one real night before you switch

Bring your floor plan, one real table booking and one ticketed night to a demo. We’ll set up the night with you, and your team can run it before anything moves.

  1. Rebuild the night

Recreate your tables, sections, deposits and minimums, then the tickets and guest lists that run beside them.

  2. Check what moves

Export Libro’s guest directory and booking history, which its help describes, and keep each guest’s marketing consent.

  3. Run a rehearsal

Have hosts take a deposit and door staff scan and count for one night with the guides on, before going live.

Questions about Libro.

More questions, answered

Libro’s pricing page, checked 16 October 2026, now opens its home page. Its offer pages, in English and French, list Advanced at $149 a month, Premium at $189 and Signature at $229, or $127, $161 and $195 a month billed yearly, a 15% saving. They don’t name the currency, and Libro is a Quebec company, so ask whether the prices are in Canadian dollars. One partner page lists each plan $10 lower, so get a written quote.

Its pages describe reservations as commission-free, at a fixed monthly rate. Ticket sales carry a fee: its Ticketing article, checked 16 October 2026, lists 3.5% plus taxes of the sale through Stripe, or 3% plus taxes through Moneris, deducted from the payment the venue receives. Its Stripe article lists Stripe’s own fee as 2.9% + $0.30 a transaction. Text campaigns cost $0.0225 a segment plus a $20 base fee per campaign.

Its pages don’t mention bottle service or minimum spends. Its no-show policy, as its help article described it on 16 October 2026, holds a guest’s card and charges a set fee only if staff mark a no-show, and the article says it is not a deposit. Its paid ticket offers can be tied to specific tables or experiences, with a minimum party size. VenueStack books VIP tables on your floor plan with deposits and minimum spends, and our team can design the floor plan during onboarding.

Yes. Libro’s news page, checked 16 October 2026, says OpenTable acquired it on 20 April 2026 and that Libro will continue to operate as a standalone brand. Its OpenTable page says reservations and guest management stay in Libro, and that restaurants can join the OpenTable Marketplace, paying only for seated guests who book through it.

On subscription, not always. Libro’s offer pages, checked 16 October 2026, list Advanced at $149 and Premium at $189 a month, below VenueStack’s $200, and Signature at $229, with no currency named. VenueStack bills in US dollars, with every feature on one plan. Per sale, Libro takes 3.5% plus tax on ticket sales through Stripe, and VenueStack adds 4% processing fees, at least $2 and at most $50 (C$2.50–C$50, €2–€50, £1.50–£50) plus Stripe’s card fees. Compare a month with your table deposits and tickets in it.

Yes. Its site, Help Center, booking widget and staff accounts come in French and English, and its offer pages, checked 16 October 2026, describe support in both languages. VenueStack’s site is in English and bills in US dollars. On the guest side, VenueStack’s AI guest chat replies in the guest’s language.

Its Contact Customer Support article, checked 16 October 2026, lists email and phone support, Monday to Saturday 9 AM to 7 PM and Sunday 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern. Its Help Center has a printable User Reference Guide for training your team, cheat sheets and recorded webinars. VenueStack includes hands-on virtual training with our team, then narrated How-to guides that play on the dashboard’s own pages, filtered to each person’s role.

Partly. Its tickets carry QR codes that staff scan to mark them redeemed, and its dashboard counts reservations, walk-ins and guests. Its pages, checked 16 October 2026, don’t describe guest lists, a door headcount or scanning without a connection. VenueStack runs guest lists, keeps a headcount every door shares and scans tickets and passes offline, as long as each device opened VenueStack online before doors.
