Add passes to Apple Wallet
Updated
Once VenueStack turns on Apple Wallet, guests can keep a pass from their account in it on their iPhone. The Wallet copy changes when you change the pass.
How guests add a pass
- On an iPhone, the guest opens their account at your venue in Safari.
- They tap Passes and open the pass.
- They tap Add to Apple Wallet under the QR code, then Add.
Add to Apple Wallet shows only on a pass that can be used now or on a later night.
What the Wallet pass shows
It shows your logo, your brand color, the pass name, its dates, and the same QR code as the account. Your door scans it the same way. See Scan passes.
When you change the pass
| What you do | What the guest sees in Wallet |
|---|---|
| Suspend | No code, and Suspended. |
| Reactivate | The code comes back. |
| Extend | The new last night. If the pass ended more than 30 days before, the Wallet copy stays expired: the guest adds the pass again from their account. |
| Revoke or Refund | The pass shows as void. |
| New code | The Wallet copy goes void. The guest adds the pass again from their account. |
| Erase Personal Details | The pass shows as void. |
Good to know
- A guest who opens their account in an app's built-in browser, such as Instagram or TikTok, is asked to open the page in Safari.
- Changes can take a few minutes to reach the phone.
- A new logo or brand color reaches passes already in Wallet within a few days.
