Check guests in
Updated
Every ticket has a QR code. Scan it at the door to check the guest in. Each ticket can only be checked in once.
Scan tickets
- Open the scanner:
- On a phone, tap the scan button in the top bar, or Scan ticket in the menu in the installed app. Allow camera access when asked.
- On a computer, go to Tickets and click Scan tickets, then click Start Scanner.
- Point the camera at the QR code, on the guest's phone or printed.
- Read the result, then tap Scan Another for the next guest.
On a phone the scanner buzzes as the result appears: once for a valid ticket, longer for anything else. You can work by feel in a loud room without watching the screen.
| Result | What it means |
|---|---|
| Valid Ticket (green) | The guest is checked in. Let them in. |
| Already Checked In (yellow) | Scanned before. First Scanned shows when. |
| Invalid (red) | Do not accept it. The message says why. |
A ticket is invalid if it was voided, is for a canceled event, or is for another date. Events that run past midnight still scan until 6 AM.
If the camera will not start, tap Use Photo Scanner and take a photo of the QR code instead.
Check a guest in by hand
Use this when a guest cannot show their QR code. Confirm who they are first, for example with their ID.
- Go to Tickets and click the event.
- Search for the guest by name, email, or ticket number.
- Click the scan button on their ticket.
- Click Mark as Scanned.
This counts the same as a scan and cannot be undone.
Follow arrivals
Open the event on the Tickets page. Scanned and Scan Rate update as your team checks guests in. To see who has not arrived, filter Status by Not Scanned.
For the latest check-ins across all events, open the scanner page and click Check-In History.
Good to know
- The scanner needs an internet connection.
- Lost ticket email? Resend it. See Orders, resends, and voids.
