Event statuses

Updated

Every event has a status. It decides whether guests can find the event and buy from it.

StatusColorGuests can see and buy
DraftAmberNo. For events you are still building. New events start here.
InternalBlueNo. For private hires or staff nights. Your team can still add reservations.
PublishedGreenYes. The event is live.
CanceledRedNo. The event is no longer happening.

A Published event appears on your public events page, your website widgets, its own event page, and in chat. To be listed, it also needs at least one ticket type or table bookings turned on. Guests who open a link to any other status see Event Not Found.

Change a status

  1. Open the event from Events.
  2. On the Details tab, open the status menu in the Publishing panel.
  3. Choose the new status and click Save.

On a computer, the other tabs show the status on the right. Click Change to go back to Details.

On a repeating event, choose This event or This and all future events, then click Save. See Repeat an event.

Good to know

  • Canceling an event does not refund or email guests. Refund orders yourself. See Refund a ticket order.
  • The scanner rejects tickets for a canceled event.
