Lepointdevente.com is a ticketing platform founded in Quebec City in 2010, with offices in Montreal and Quebec City; its English pages use the name Thepointofsale.com. It charges no monthly fee and adds a ticketing fee to each paid ticket, and its scanning tools check QR, barcode and RFID passes, with an offline mode. Seat maps can sell whole tables, and its team rents equipment and works events on site. It is a strong fit for Quebec organizers who want a local, French-first ticketing service.

VenueStack is built for clubs where the ticket is only part of the night. The same night sells VIP tables with deposits and minimum spends, runs guest lists and works the door, and every ticket, booking and check-in builds one customer list. New staff learn each job inside the dashboard, with guides that play on the page they are using. One plan covers all of it, billed in US dollars.

Questions about Lepointdevente.com.

More questions, answered

Its rates page, checked 16 October 2026, lists no registration or monthly fees and no fee on free events. On a paid event it lists a ticketing fee of $0.79 + 2% plus tax, and a 2.90% transaction fee when you use its merchant account, or 0% when you connect your own. Its Help Center works through a $20.00 ticket: the ticketing fee comes to $1.37 with tax, and $1.95 once the transaction fee is added.

Its pricing FAQ, checked 16 October 2026, says the ticketing fee is added to the ticket price for buyers, and that to absorb it you lower your ticket price by the same amount. The 2.90% transaction fee is your choice: tick Organizer and it is billed to you after the event, or tick Attendees and it is added to the buyer’s ticketing fee. Its terms say service fees are never refundable.

Yes. Its box office billing article, checked 16 October 2026, says the ticketing fee is added on every sales channel, the box office included. Paid through its Stripe terminal or integrated payment, the transaction fee falls on the organizer by default and is billed after the event. Cash or your own terminal carries no transaction fee, and the ticketing fee on those sales is invoiced after the event.

Its accounting FAQ, checked 16 October 2026, says that on its merchant account you receive ticket money on the Monday or Tuesday after your event, with its fees deducted, and that chargebacks can be invoiced to you for up to 90 days after the event. With your own merchant account connected, the money is already in your account.

On fixed cost, no: Lepointdevente.com has no monthly fee, and VenueStack is $200 a month, billed in US dollars. Per sale, Lepointdevente.com’s rates page, checked 16 October 2026, lists $0.79 + 2% plus tax a paid ticket, plus 2.90% on its merchant account, and VenueStack adds 4% processing fees, at least $2 and at most $50 (C$2.50–C$50, €2–€50, £1.50–£50) plus Stripe’s card fees. Compare what guests and the club pay over the same month, with your table bookings in it.

Its seat map tool can mark a table Bookable as a whole, so guests buy the table rather than single seats, and its team can draw the map for a fee. Its pages don’t describe table deposits, minimum spends or bottle service, so ask before you rely on it. VenueStack books VIP tables on your floor plan with deposits and minimum spends, and our team can design the floor plan during onboarding.

Yes, with preparation. Its offline article, checked 16 October 2026, says each device must download the event while online. Offline devices can’t share scans, so one ticket can be scanned twice, and tickets sold after the last sync aren’t recognized. VenueStack scans tickets and passes offline too, as long as each device opened VenueStack online before doors.

Yes. Its organizer pages and Help Center come in French and English, and the English pages use the name Thepointofsale.com. Its scheduled training sessions are in French only. On the guest side, VenueStack’s AI guest chat replies in the guest’s language.
