VenueStack vs Tripleseat

Looking for a Tripleseat alternative for your nightclub or bar? Tripleseat sells private events with proposals, contracts and BEOs. A club night also sells tickets and VIP tables with deposits and works the door, so compare both on the nights you run and on Tripleseat’s published starting price.

Tripleseat is event management software for selling and running private events. Inquiries from web forms, email and its venue marketplace land in one inbox. Staff send branded proposals, contracts and deposit requests that guests sign and pay online, and BEOs and the run of show work from the same event record. Its bars and nightclubs page speaks to private events, buyouts and bottle service bookings. It is a strong fit for venues that sell private events and group bookings.

VenueStack runs the club’s own nights. The same night sells tickets with tiers and promo codes, books VIP tables on your floor plan with deposits and minimum spends, runs guest lists and works the door, and every ticket, booking and check-in builds one customer list. New staff learn each job inside the dashboard, with guides that play on the page they are using. One plan covers all of it.

When to choose VenueStack or Tripleseat
VenueStackTripleseat
Choose it if
  • Your revenue is your own nights: tickets, VIP tables with deposits and minimum spends, and the door
  • Door staff scan tickets, check guest lists and count heads in one place
  • You want one published monthly price with every feature, and a free trial before you pay
  • Your revenue is private events and buyouts, sold with proposals, contracts and BEOs, which VenueStack does not offer
  • You run a restaurant group, hotel or catering business with an events sales team across locations
  • You want event deposits sent to your POS, such as Lightspeed or GoTab, which VenueStack does not offer

Rehearse one real night before you switch

Bring your floor plan, your table minimums and one real club night to a demo. We’ll set up the night with you, and your team can run it before anything moves.

  1. Decide what moves

Private-event leads, contracts and BEOs can stay in Tripleseat. The club nights are what move.

  2. Rebuild the night

Recreate your tables, sections, deposits and minimum spends, then add the night’s tickets and guest lists.

  3. Run a rehearsal

Have hosts take a deposit, and door staff scan and count heads, for one night with the guides on, before going live.

Questions about Tripleseat.

More questions, answered

Tripleseat’s packages page, checked 16 October 2026, says it starts at $375 per venue per month, with unlimited users and integrations. Add-ons such as Tickets, Floor Plans, Direct Book and Insights are priced individually. Its comparison page says there is no free trial. Its service agreement runs for one year, billed in US dollars, and renews unless either side gives 30 days’ notice.

Event management software for venues that sell private events and group bookings. Its platform pages, checked 16 October 2026, cover the path from inquiry to payment: web forms and one inbox, a contact CRM, branded proposals, contracts and BEOs with digital signatures, and payments. Floor Plans, Direct Book, Tickets, Venue Marketplace and Insights are add-ons. Its industry pages run from restaurants, hotels and caterers to wedding venues, bars and nightclubs.

Its bars and nightclubs page, checked 16 October 2026, is written for private events, buyouts and bottle service bookings: one inbox for inquiries, proposals and contracts signed online, deposits and F&B minimums, and a shared run of show. Its pages don’t describe VIP tables sold from a floor plan on a regular club night, door guest lists or a door headcount, so ask before you rely on it. VenueStack books VIP tables on your floor plan with deposits and minimum spends, runs guest lists, scans tickets and keeps a headcount every door shares.

Through its Tickets add-on, which its help center lists for venues in the US and Canada. Checked 16 October 2026, its pages describe ticket types with tiered and early-bird pricing, VIP packages, promo codes set through pricing groups, branded landing pages and email blasts. Door staff check guests in by QR code on a check-in website, with an access code. Its own examples are tastings, classes, ticketed dinners and live entertainment. VenueStack sells tickets with tiers and promo codes and scans them at the door, offline too once each device opened VenueStack online before doors.

Yes, on events. Its Payments page, checked 16 October 2026, keeps payment schedules, deposits, F&B minimums and add-ons inside each event. Guests pay online through a branded guest portal, or by QR code when the event closes. Its F&B minimum article counts menu items against the minimum and lets staff add any unmet amount to the bill at close. In VenueStack you set a deposit and minimum spend for each section on a night, and guests pay the deposit when they book their table.

On the published monthly price, yes. VenueStack is $200 a month with every feature, and Tripleseat’s packages page, checked 16 October 2026, starts at $375 a venue a month before add-ons. The two do different jobs: Tripleseat sells private events with proposals, contracts and BEOs, and VenueStack runs tickets, tables and the door. VenueStack adds 4% processing fees, at least $2 and at most $50 (C$2.50–C$50, €2–€50, £1.50–£50) plus Stripe’s card fees, so compare a real month of the nights you run.

Note your renewal date. Tripleseat’s service agreement, checked 16 October 2026, runs for one year and renews unless you give 30 days’ notice, and each venue added later starts its own one-year term. It says your data stays available in a machine-readable format for 30 days after the agreement ends, at no cost. If private events stay in Tripleseat, only the club nights move. Rebuild one night in VenueStack and rehearse it before moving live bookings. We don’t promise an automatic import.

Yes, as two separate tools. Tripleseat sells private events with proposals, contracts and BEOs, and VenueStack sells the club’s own nights and runs the door. They don’t connect to each other, so when a buyout takes a club night, update both calendars.
