Create a pass
Updated
A pass lets its holder into your events with one QR code. You build it once here, then give it to guests. See Issue and manage passes.
Build a pass
- Go to Passes and open Products.
- Click New pass.
- Fill in each step, then click Next:
- Basics: a Name, an optional Description, and optional Artwork. Click Upload image for a square JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP under 4 MB.
- Access: All events, which includes events you add later, or Selected events, ticked from the list.
- Validity: Dates for a fixed range, or Days from issue, which includes the night the pass is issued.
- Usage: Entries per event and Total entries. Turn on Unlimited to remove a limit.
- Customer experience: optional Terms, shown on the guest's pass.
- On Review, check each row. Click Edit to go back to a step.
- Click Create pass to make it active, or Save draft to finish later.
A new pass starts at 30 days from issue, 1 entry per event, and no total limit.
Activate, edit, or archive
Open the pass from Products.
- Activate makes a draft live, so you can issue it.
- To change it, edit any step and click Save changes.
- Archive stops new passes from being issued. Passes already issued keep working. An archived pass cannot be edited until you click Activate again.
- Holders lists the passes issued from it.
Add a pass to an event
- Go to Events and open the event.
- Click the Passes tab.
- Choose a pass from Add a pass and click Add.
To take a pass off the event, click its trash button, then Remove. Passes for All events are listed too, but you change those in the pass itself. A canceled event cannot be added to a pass.
Good to know
- Changing Access, Validity, Usage, or Terms after a pass is issued applies only to passes issued afterwards. Passes already out keep their rules.
- Adding an event is the exception: every holder gets it.
- Deleting an event takes it off every pass, including passes already out. A repeating event's schedule change does the same for the dates it drops. See Repeat an event.
- A canceled event drops out of a pass the next time you save it.
- The door admits guests only to Published and Internal events, even if a draft event is on the pass.
- Guests cannot buy passes yet. You give them out.
