Run the floor on the night
Updated
The Tables page is your live view of the room: every reservation for an event, next to the floor plan map. Click Tables in the sidebar (on a phone, tap the chair button in the top bar) and pick an event.
Seat a party
- Seat. Drag a reservation card onto a free table, or open the card's menu and choose Assign Table. A Pending request becomes Approved.
- Arrive. When the guest walks in, choose Arrive from the card's menu, or click the table and click Arrived. Use the Guests buttons to count people in.
- Complete. When they leave, choose Complete, give a rating, and click Complete. The table is free again.
To go back a step, use Unarrive or Unseat. Completed and canceled reservations can be brought back with Reopen.
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Pending | A request waiting for a table. |
| Approved | Seated, with no payment. |
| $ Requested | A deposit request is waiting to be paid. |
| $ Paid | The deposit is paid. |
| Arrived | The guest is here. |
| Completed | The visit is over. |
| Canceled | The reservation was canceled. |
Work with tables
Click a table on the map to see who is there and its deposit, minimum, and capacity.
- Move a party: drag a seated card onto another table. Drop it on a taken table to swap.
- Close a table: click the lock button. It cannot be booked or seated until you open it again.
- Join tables: click the link button, then the other table, for a large party.
From a reservation's menu you can also open Details, add Notes, Change Section, Request Deposit, or Cancel Reservation. Details shows the guest's info, payments, and a Log of every change.
Good to know
- Canceling does not refund a deposit. Refund first. See Refund a table booking.
- The guest gets an email when you add a reservation with a table, cancel, request a deposit, or refund. Seating, moving, and arrivals send nothing.
